How One LA-Area High School is Changing the Way We Teach Photography

Five days after the in-person National Association for Urban Debate Leagues (NAUDL) Championship Tournament began, a winner has finally been crowned over Zoom.

Summer Kulusich (POLAHS ’22), was the recipient of the Namibia Wildlife Photography Expedition scholarship – an incredible 22-day study abroad program in Africa.

On September 2nd, POLAHS introduced its first off-site venture: Pixels. The digital photography space will be used as a workshop and gallery for student art .

POLAHS grads (‘21) Michele Lee and Paige Dillihunt made the most of their full-tuition photography scholarship on a 14 day study abroad adventure to Iceland this summer.

Senior Roxana Arellano received a full-tuition scholarship from a POLAHS donor to participate in Normandy Academy, a study abroad program that introduces high school students to WWII through travels to New Orleans and France.

POLAHS opened it's doors to 950 students!
