Students tested water at Cabrillo Beach in San Pedro, checking for phosphates, nitrogen, and salinity. They completed their lab at the Wrigley Marine Science Center on Catalina Island, thanks to an invitation received from the USC Wrigley Inst. for Environmental Studies. "Our students really enjoyed studying, kayaking, and exploring the Institute in Catalina. The USC Sea Grant Program made this possible," said POLAHS instructor Dean Zrucky. The class will analyze their findings and discuss human impact on the Island to begin the spring semester.
